ABOUT US
HISTORY
From the stalls of Berryessa, Concord, Laney and Cupertino Flea Markets in the Silicon Valley of California, to the corridors of Los Angeles and Alameda County Fairs in the USA; “Shoes & Purses” as it was previously called began a decade long tradition of scouting for unique fashion accessories for consumers.
After 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the company rebranded to “Kolorbash Designer Shoes Ent,” with a new market and geographical emphasis on Ghana and the African trade corridor.
BRAND
The trademarked name Kolorbash (pronounced ka·luh·bash) is a pun on the traditional drinking “calabash,” which is derived from an ornamental fruit in the tropical countries such as Ghana. The calabash is naturally very well insulated so usually, traditional drinks served in the calabash are very cool and refreshing. Thus our cool brand Kolorbash seeks to cater for the hectic fashion demand of the emerging African woman with a strong emphasis on style and uniqueness. The intent is to introduce shoes and fashion accessories that refreshes and breathes new life into one’s wardrobe.

MISSION
Authentic. Designer. Shoes. As an emerging country and continent, Ghana/Africa has traditionally been the dumping grounds for cheap and inferior goods from Asia. Quality designer shoes and fashion items can mostly be found in the thriving second hand market. This market is however fraught with teething problems of sizing, limited quantities of a particular style, over used items and especially in this pandemic, unhygienic items. So whilst the incomes of middle income Ghanaian/African women are on the rise, they are at the mercy of being spent on inferior made goods. Such goods easily fall apart and offer less value for money. Most at times consumers just can’t get what they are looking for, and Kolorbash is here to resolve that pain.
Our company emphasizes on new designer shoes imported from the USA, because USA enjoys a large economies of scale and thus gets access to the best of everything. Top designers from the Council of Fashion Designers America (CFDA) work hard to resolve supplier chain issues such as slave labor and avoidance of harmful chemicals in the production process. Because of the country’s enormous buying power, their designers and production managers churn very unique styles every year without a compromise to quality.
SUSTAINABILITY
With mass market fashion being fingered out as one of the major culprits of environmental degradation, our emphasis on quality made shoes seeks to resolve that problem. For instance, buying one pair of “Clarks” office shoe from us, will last the typical professional woman at least two (2 years), whilst that of cheap counterfeits can only last for 6moths or less. Thus the rate of disposal will be reduced. Our company will continue to educate and encourage consumers to consider some best maintenance practices that will help the environment in the long run. Such practices include;
– Reheeling
– Repainting
– Re-Sole and hand stitching
– Repairs
– And Hand me down (donating slightly used shoes)
Our vibrant social media campaigns will seek to sensitize consumers on the importance of these sustainable practices which have a positive impact on the environment.
